Once a job has been secured, your DS-7002 and DS-2019 form will be issued by our program sponsor. The DS-2019 form is the official U.S Government document, which allows you to work legally in the United States. This document is presented to the U.S Consulate when applying for the J-1 visa. The J-1 visa is valid for a maximum of 12 months of work plus an additional 30 days grace period for travel. Your DS-7002 is your training plan that our program sponsor needs to verify and then both you as the employee and the employer need to sign it before your DS-2019 will be issued In order for your visa application to be successful you will need to provide sufficient proof of return to South Africa to continue studying.
The final decision regarding visas is always at the discretion of the U.S Consulate.
