Spending money
When arriving in the U.S. participants are required to have a minimum of $400 which may need to be produced for the U.S Immigration Officer upon arrival in the U.S. This spending money is necessary to cover expenses like housing and travel to your work site before your first salary payment.
Insurance
U.S Government regulations require appropriate medical and travel insurance for participants on the “Internship USA” program. The policy offered through Awesome Placements is designed to meet U.S government requirements and it is therefore compulsory to take our insurance. Please note this is travel insurance and not a “medical aid” . It will cover you for hospitalization; emergencies and flying you home in the event of unforeseen crises.
Housing
Awesome Travel will arrange housing for participants and the cost of housing is deducted from your pay check every week.
